Since 1812, Lion SabatierĀ® has been one of the most famous and well-known knife brands in France, proudly designing, manufacturing (forging, grinding, polishing sharpening) its knives in Thiers, the French capital of cutlery.
The Ideal collection, was designed by a family of French master cutlers named SabatierĀ®, it consists of a triangular blade, a rounded bolster, a handle with 3 rivets and a beak heel. Ideal is a fully forged knife, meaning the blade, bolster and tang are all heated and forged from a single rod of 4116N nitrogen enriched steel boasting a 58-60 HRC . The hand-polished POM handle with 3 stainless steel rivets is highly appreciated by renowned Chefs as well as cooking enthusiasts.
